Kitchen Display
The Kitchen Display (KDS) is a live board of open orders. Run it on any tablet or screen with a browser — no dedicated hardware.
Opening the board
Sign in with an owner, manager or kitchen account and open Kitchen Display. New orders appear the moment a guest places them, with an alert chime (toggle the sound in the toolbar).
Stations
Each menu item is assigned a station — Kitchen, Bar or Dessert. Use the switcher to show all stations or just one. Lines move through Queued → Preparing → Ready; the order rolls up automatically once every line is ready.
Bumping
Tap a ticket to advance it. Order-level state then goes Ready → Served when it leaves the pass. Prep time (placed → ready) is recorded and shown in Analytics as a median and p90.
Working offline
If the connection drops, the board keeps showing the last known state and an “offline” banner. Bump and serve actions are queued locally and replay automatically when you reconnect, then the board refreshes.
Takeaway and packing
Takeaway orders show on the KDS with the customer name and pickup time. The packing charge line is not a kitchen ticket — it’s hidden from the board but still flows into the bill and invoice.
Multiple branches
The KDS shows one branch at a time. Kitchen staff are pinned to their branch; owners and managers pick a branch with the header selector.
